Legendary anglers available for autographs Tuesday, Sept. 9


PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - As part of the festivities surrounding the Walmart FLW Series BP Eastern Division event on Lake Champlain in Plattsburgh, N.Y., Sept. 10-13, Bill McBride Chevrolet in Plattsburgh will be hosting Chevy Pro Night from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9.

Fishing fans will have the chance to swap tales with Team Chevy anglers Jimmy Houston, Larry Nixon, Luke Clausen, Kim Stricker, Dion Hibdon, Sondra Rankin and David Fritts. Among these seven anglers, they have accumulated 10 tour-level victories in FLW Outdoors competition alone. This team also boasts combined FLW Outdoors earnings of more than $3.5 million. In Hibdon, Clausen and Fritts, Team Chevy is also home to three of only five anglers in the history of the sport to have won both the Forrest Wood Cup and the Bassmaster Classic.

These anglers will be signing autographs, posing for photos and offering advice to fishing fans from across the region during the two-hour gathering at Bill McBride Chevrolet, which is located at 5101 United States Ave. in Plattsburgh.

The first 100 fans attending Chevy Pro Night will receive a free FLW Outdoors hat. Additionally, fans can register to win fishing rods, fishing tackle and a die cast Ranger boat.

FLW Outdoors, named after Forrest L. Wood, the legendary founder of Ranger Boats, is the largest fishing tournament organization in the world. In 2008 alone the organization is offering more than 90,000 anglers the chance to win over $40 million through 230 tournaments in 10 circuits.
